Hi all!
Do you know what happens when you give gerbils a nice box, but you make just the smallest hole for them.
We try to get in as soon as we made the hole bigger from the outside, and then we can work the hole from the inside. But since the hole is only just big enough when we start getting in and out, it becomes a little funny to see us squeeze through!

Might as well customize that hole to fit you better……….seems like it would be a lot of fun munching on the cardboard to make that hole JUST RIGHT!

My gerbil’s favorite was an empty salt box, the sturdy cylinders with the teeny tiny hole where the metal spout comes off. That little hole was tantalizing and they would nibble it until they could pop through. They would nest happily inside for a couple days and then all of a sudden would attack the box and it would be shredded to smithereens!
